One Huguenot’s Flight from Religious Persecution Creates the Bondurant Family in America

The 2022 BFA Annual Meeting was held at the Hampton Inn, Altoona on September 23-24 . The BFA Annual Business Meeting was at 6 pm in the Meeting Room. At 7 pm, the Meet Your Kin gathering was in the same room. On Saturday Morning, we met in the parking lot to receive tour maps. We toured historic sites in the Bondurant, IA area. We met at 12 noon at the Old Bondurant Train Depot to share box lunches. At 2 pm, we moved to Bondurant Community Library where we joined Bondurant residents to hear David Bondurant's presentation From France & England to Bondurant, IA, a presentation on how Bondurant founder, Alexander Conley Bondurant arrived in Bondurant and where his ancestors came from. Following the presentation, there was an evening meal at the Bondurant Christian Church at 6 pm.
