The 2026 Annual Meeting was held at the Hampton Inn - Pinedale, WY from June 26-29. The Hampton Inn was the nearest hotel to Bondurant, WY (40 miles) which has a population of 108.

The Annual Meeting was attended by 32 people including a number of descendants of Benjamin Franklin Bondurant, the founder of Bondurant, WY. The Business Meeting and Meet & Greet started at 6 pm on June 26.
On Saturday Morning, the group met at the Pavillion of Museum of the Mountain Man in Pinedale for 2 historical presentations. Clint Gilchrist, the Director the the Museum and head of the Sublette County Historical Society told us the history of the Hoback Valley from early Indians to the Mountain Men who came through the area in search of Beaver pelts. In general, the relationship between Indians and Mountain Men was positive with the Green River Rendezvous being held in the Pinedale area in July where the groups would trade and celebrate together. He explained how Bondurant, WY gained the name Jackson's Little Hole as we learned the area was a low lying area trapped between a high ridge to the east and the Hoback Canyon on the West.
This presentation was followed by David Bondurant talking about From France to Bondurant, WY, the story of how the Bondurant Family came from 10-generations in France to Virginia in 1700 and how family members moved west to Missouri before BF Bondurant departed for Wyoming in 1897 arriving in the Hoback Valley in 1898 and established a post office, store, and dude ranch operation which established the town of Bondurant, Wyoming.
Following lunch, the group drove to Bondurant, WY and met at the Bondurant Cemetery which was created by BF Bondurant to bury family members and other members of the community. We saw the graves of BF & Ella Bondurant along with 2 of their sons who are buried there. Our visit was dampened by rain.
Following our visit to the Cemetery, the group tried to wait out the heavy rain before walking to the BF Bondurant Homestead. Many choose to head back to Pinedale but a few Bondurants made the walk to the Homestead led by Lennie Campbell, the current owner of the Bondurant Ranch. Poncho's were provided by Bruce Ramsdell.
The homestead is located in a beautiful setting on Jack's Creek beneath the Wind River Range of the Rockies.

Saturday was concluded with dinner at Wind River Brewery in Pinedale which was enjoyed by all.
On Sunday morning, some folks drove the 8.5 miles up a dirt road West of Bondurant to Granite Falls and then enjoyed the Granite Falls Hot Springs pool.
We drove to Bondurant, WY for the Annual Bondurant Picnic which has been held since 1941 at St. Hubert the Hunter Chuch.
The Community normally serves up to 500 people at the Bondurant Picnic. Cooking a huge vat of baked beans and slow cooking slabs of beef over coal pit overnight.
The crowd filled a field with cars and lined up for BBQ Beef Sandwiches, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, and great Desserts.
Following the Picnic, some attendees drove to the top of Skyline Drive in Pinedale, WY which overlooks Lake Fremont (the 2nd largest lake in Wyoming) and the Wind River Range.
The 2026 BFA Annual Meeting concluded with a final dinner at the Lakeside Resort on Lake Fremont.
